A lifetime of experience

From her earliest years, Jackie was saving stray dogs off the streets of Bakersfield. After decades of learning first-hand how dogs work she transitioned into the field of balanced training and began to teach group classes at the Cesar Milan Dog Psychology Center for two years. Jackie went on to work with private clients throughout California,
rehabilitating human reactive, dog reactive, feral and un-socialized dogs as well as working with multiple species of animals. After studying Canine Cognition and the role it plays in training through Duke University she began to once again, train private clients and group classes in Bakersfield, Ca.

Cognitive Studies

Working with multiple species allows me to study, test and learn about their cognitive abilities in comparison to dogs and how to better communicate with them.

Understanding how a dog views a leash, its function and how it applies to them gives me the opportunity to better teach them how to walk without pulling it.

Taking on the tougher cases

Working with human reactive dogs is not walk in the park. In fact, most trainers won't do it. But my studies and experience tell me that no dog is a lost cause. In fact, I have helped a number of owners successfully rehabilitate their dog into social, calm dogs.

Some of our former clients are now regulars at coffee shops, in local hardware stores and even on weekend sailboats excursions with their family and friends. Nothing is impossible if you're willing to commit to the work at hand.
